It feels so strange sitting down to write out this post, as I’ve been on a small Internet break for the past month and a half. So much has been going on in my life that I found myself needing a break to catch up. I’ve currently been hiding away in Florida. I’ve occasionally been posting on Snapchat and Instagram to let you know that I’m still alive, but there have been some big changes in my life and have been spending lots of time with my family, so I’m glad to be back. The past month seems like it flew by so I wanted to give you some highlights!
Florida/Georgia Tailgate: In case you’re wondering what that means, I attended the self-proclaimed largest outdoor cocktail party! It’s honestly rare that I’d miss this event, I haven’t in the past 6 years at least. Although I do not enjoy football, the party with friends is the best part. This year we were downtown and actually had a nice place to park ourselves when we were invited to join in on an RV party. I don’t think theres any possible way that we can tailgate any other way now. Not once did I have to even use a port-a-potty. We grilled, drank and made memories that will last a lifetime. I’m sure you even saw a few Instagram Stories from the night, sorry mom!
The Pool Party Wedding: Yes, I finally got married to the man of my dreams in front of all our friends and family. It was such an exciting weekend. On the Friday before the wedding we hung out and had a rehearsal dinner at my parents house. It was catered by 4Rivers Smokehouse, which was delicious. Then we continued onto the bar until Friday night and in the early morning hours of Saturday. Saturday November 4th was our special day. It was held at the Atlantic Beach Country Club. My photographer is exceptional and luckily I also get to call her a friend. You can check out her work here and let her know I sent you. Stefanie was the most stealth photographer and captured the most amazing photographs, from the previews I’ve seen so far, I know that the whole camera roll is going to be so exciting to look at. Our band was also one that I’d recommend, Who Rescued Who. Our cake was made by the lovely Calli Marie Bakes. I also get to call her a friend. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to make it! My dress was made by a man named Sonthai in Orlando at the Bridal Gown Studio. It was the last place that I looked, and by the time I got there, I knew I was going to find something. I’ll most likely do a post about wedding prep tips and tricks etc, but I just wanted to answer some questions that I’ve been getting!
My Birthday Weekend: After all the wedding excitement cooled down and our friends/family left, my husband (omg!) and I drove down to Clearwater Beach in Florida. We stayed in a newly built Marriott on the beach and it was beautiful. The weather on the first day we were there was a bit clouded, however the following day – we sat on the beach and even swam in the ocean! Yes, swimming in the ocean in November and it was quite nice too. I even managed to get tan lines in the winter. Gotta love Florida! There’s not too much to share about Clearwater besides the beach was gorgeous, we didn’t actually drive the car around once we checked in, it was with the valet. Everything was in walking distance and ironically we ran into my brothers wife’s brother and his wife. Are you confused yet? It was a funny sight to try and explain that to people. So, needless to say, my birthday was spent with lots of laughs, drinks and fun. We even went to an unplanned ‘block party’ in a neighborhood around the area.
Well, thanks so much for sticking around and being patient with me while I get back into the swing of work and blogging! You’ll certainly hear from me – I’ve picked up quite a few beauty bits that I can’t wait to share.
